the most elaborate e-mail spam powered by LLM trickery

Yesterday I received quite an intriguing mail, wrote a thread about it on Agora Road

At first I just knew it was some spam, but after reading it it really made me doubt, it's quite a cute narrative of a teacher complimenting my site and sending me a link her student found for my website, almost making me feel bad for publicly shaming them like I usually do with spam mail

The link they sent is an article on qualtrics that does seem to have good information (mostly a list of links) but I know for a fact that an LLM could have generated it perfectly well on its own, those machines are really good at that, clearly an SEO article looking to get backlinks

I got curious so I checked the @ of the e-mail address and to my surprise found a whole website with multiple pages that really claims to be a tutoring company, including a page that has the name of that Bianca who sent the mail but something was off, the HTML was too clean, the content too generic, some pages have the exact same LLM smell as the qualtrics article and most importantly, no contact information, no address

I think I have a pretty good idea about what's going on and it really amazed me because I never thought they would go this far, this is some heavy trickery, an elaborate lie, they literally built a whole fake website using LLM technology that has for only goal to trick webmasters into thinking the LLM generated mails they send us to trick us into backlinking qualtrics is actually real, I could never come up with such an elaborate evil scheme, that whole thing is way beyond my comprehension
