I am also pleasantly surprised! I think I agree about enjoying it more than Painful, but I'm waiting for MU to really make that claim (I still believe!!!!)dapman wrote: Tue Jul 07, 2026 1:07 pmI am surprised to see someone else who appreciates Lisa the Pointless. I would go as far as to say that it's better than Painful. What clicked for you in Pointless?
For me, the Pointless is just incredibly creative and singular to Edvinas Kandrotas. The whole atmosphere of places like Garbage Island and Downtown are super creatively fertile, as are concepts like the Infinity franchise, and I think you can tell that just based on how much fan-content people are compelled to make (which I think applies to LISA as a whole to some extent). Ed is an interesting writer and a lot of the beats from the Pointless feel almost theatrical (especially things like the dinner scene and the confrontations with Roland and Arnold) in a very interesting way. It just gets into your head and keeps you thinking about it. The music is also great, and I think there's some great metatextual stuff happening with the way certain tracks are reused and repurposed throughout the LISA games and fangames

Also, I remember when people talked about "slop" to refer to Pointless fan-content instead of AI... better times!
