New Cute Figurines

Post by haruhi »

I follow a lot of sculptors, manufacturers, etc, and I wanted a place to post/forward news about new figurines/garage kits for others to see. Mainly for new things, such as sculptor wips, prototypes, or announcements. Also good for recent hauls or whatever news you all come across, Everything goes if it is CUTE! :waha:

Starting with the recent announcement of Haru Urara + Mejiro McQueen figures by Claynel. I know there's at least one other Umamusume fan here. After 10 years, Haru finally has her own figurine!

Great thread. I love figures but it's harder to afford them, and also having a ton of them makes it harder to move and change your residence, so I'm trying not to amass more right now, unfortunately. The good news is that pictures of them are almost as good as a way to show your taste and enjoyment.

Definitely, I just went through the pain of moving my huge collection, and had to thin it out quite a bit by selling or giving them away to close friends. I hope that the new owners like them!

For anyone into the general VOCALOID/FANLOID/UTAU sphere, Akita Neru and Yowane Haku have finally received full nendoroids, a great upgrade from the old Nendo Petits which I had to blow with a hair dryer to melt the plastic enough that it could fit the pegs.

Caffein, the designer for Haku still draws her today. You can find her stuff on fanbox, it’s awesome. I love someone who is willing to sexualize their own creations!

So cute :D I would brush my teeth 4x a day just to look at a cute girl while doing it.

On the topic of Type-Moon franchises, I did see that a circle I liked (Comic Fantasy Zoo) planned on selling this garage kit of Kuonji Alice & Aozaki Aoko on June 14th. Frankly, I'm still going through the original Tsukihime, so I'm not too familiar with a lot of the characters :ase:

mahoyo is so far my favorite type moon entry, from its animation (as a vn, which is really insane), characters, and atmosphere/nasu's story telling. the other entries may be better for introducing the world system, but mahoyo is a nice even with this, introducing very basic concepts of mystery and stuff. i like it most for the setting and characters though.

On theme with the announcement of a EoSD remake, I've been eyeing this beautiful Remilia figure on Amiami. This was actually originally a Garage Kit by Novel Star. I hope more garage kits keep getting turned into prepainted figures. It's perfect for all the non-painter otakus. (And cheaper, ironically.)

I'm a big fan of most Remilia figures. I think that the ruffles in her dress give sculptors a lot of options to make it appealing, but it's probably just because she's appealing to look at :kuma: The only thing stopping me from ordering is the fact I have NO place to put her, and that 28K JPY Price tag (Not including shipping!!!)
I'll probably sit on it a little more since Remilia isn't as high priority as Reimu, Sanae, or Meiling. And I'm much more looking to finish my Touhou Collection of figures sculpted by Takeshi Miyagawa.

Bought this cute shinobu figurine for 60 CAD off a local con today :kuma:
I'm not sure if this is actually how it's priced but i didnt have time to research it first and just got it instead...

I really like the strap softly falling off her shoulders, keeping her one piece from falling apart as she pushes her arms together
