This is the famous washbasin of the Ryouan-ji, a famous Rinzai Zen temple.



It says 吾唯足知. Which means

吾: I
唯: Only
足: Enoughness
知: Know

And the 口 at the center means a mouth. Imagine the water flows into the mouth.

Also the washbasin itself looks similar to the Chinese coins.
