I host a CyTube party where we try to watch great movies and anime, especially ones that are ridiculous, hilarious, or just downright strange and inexplicable. This thread OP will host the schedule for the next CyTube event and also the running votes for whatever we will watch next. These vote counts will carry over to the next formal poll I host up about what to watch next. Also use this thread to suggest others and post a short blurb (aim for three sentences at the most). I'll probably add it in.

Most CyTubes will aim to be 3-4 hours in full at most. This might consist of a movie and a short anime OVA, two movies, a whole season of a full-length anime (maybe extending to two successive streams if the series is 26 episodes or so). It just depends on what is being rated highest! I aim to have a good diversity of choices for people who may be into different things. These are current choices:

He is clearly a repressed homosexual.

  Very messy series, but charming for precisely that reason. This show just about threw everything at the wall to see what would stick. It's a magical girl show at its core I guess. It focuses on three young girls who get special powers awakened in them by means of a special bond with robotic toy animals called "Patapi" which are all the rage. The story gets more and more elaborate and silly. Very over-the-top.

  One of those shows that is kind of a rip-off of Evangelion but without as much philosophical depth. This one is about invading aliens called Zeravire that can only be defeated by a mech called Gravion which has been developed in secret. A teenage boy who is looking for his missing sister ends up fighting alongside the Gravion forces. The best thing about this show: Tons of fanservice and girls with huge tits!

  This show teaches the lesson: No matter what genre or tone your anime is, it is improved by having girls with comically-large breasts! This is a sci-fi story with a pretty dark tone. In the 24th century, space travel is commonplace, but there is an entity called the Watcher's Nest which produces some kind of transdimensional evil monsters. A group of girls are tasked with dealing with it, and all of them have GIANT tits.

  Movie by Bruno Mattei, the king of Italian knock-offs of American genre films. This one is the most gun-toting, American loving action movie I've seen and it was made by an Italian! It's complete nonsense about some badass elite warrior in Vietnam kicking the ass of commies. Completely silly and very entertaining.

  A movie so inept that it verges on pure experimental genius. Director and actors seem to literally be mentally challenged. Tells some story about aliens invading the earth but I can barely follow it. Often quite hilarious, though some scenes drag on very long. Hypnotic.

  Made-for-TV thriller/psychological horror movie about a nerdy high school kid named Ronald who accidentally kills a girl and then hides in the walls of his house to avoid the police. Very weird and fascinating oddity. Equally endearing and cheesy or inexplicable in turn.

  Made by Russ Meyer, the god of big tits in cinema. Best variety of lots of girls with huge tits in this one. Bursting with BIG action, BIG emotions, and BIG mounds of female flesh! Very goofy and over-the-top in a way that's hard to hate like any Meyer film.

Very difficult to follow but seems to be a Matrix-esque story about a homeless weirdo who peers into the true nature of things and escapes his artificial reality prison, led by some bearded guy in a weird robot-suit. I think, I barely followed the plot. Cool and cheesy early CGI visuals.

  Archetypically stupid low-budget action movie from the 80s. Story is about an ultra-badass warrior who is being hunted for fun and kicks ass, but the story is often incoherent because of ineptitude. Constant stream of ridiculous nonsense. One of the best end scenes of all time.

I find this film absolutely hilarious and I've always had a fantastic time watching it with friends. The only complication is it's four-hour runtime, which might make it a challenge to get everyone together for the whole thing.

Thanks for the suggestion Deoster. I stickied this thread and converted it into a "CyTube general" to keep a running list of what anime/films have the most votes. After the CyTube in a week from now I'll open up another Strawpoll with these choices and you'll have a chance to vote and I'll add yours in. I have some more good suggestions to add in as well.

Love Exposure is a pretty good film. I like it, though I didn't quite like it as much as a lot of others. I would be down to watch it though. Four hours is a lot of time but I think that marathon watches are part of the fun.

Amlux, I'll post summaries for the ZNK movies that I've sent you so that you have something to work with, but I'm not pressuring for their screening, ok? I know your audience very much prefers anime and in fact I'm not sure how much the specific Czech humor translates to foreign audience, so I'm leaving the decisions to you etcetc., all is fine with me.

For others: there is this (in)famous series of movies and games in Czechia known as "ZNK". They are very well known but controversial for their political incorrectness as well as other unique features such as a lovely amateur style and over the top violence. The creator is known for casting actual authentic "street people" in the movies, like literal hobos and drug addicts, so it's pretty authentic and funny. At first the movies were purely amateur -- the first two I am posting here -- and in fact I haven't even found English subtitles for them, so I had to make my own (using a bit of AI, I admit, but it's workable I think). For this reason I assume there haven't even been any non-Czech speakers who have ever seen the movies before. The third movie here is now professionally made (had official subtitles) but it's excellent, I've seen it several times and it's generally praised as well. Again though, I'm not sure how much the humor is culturally dependent

I added them! And please don't be afraid to shill them. That's what this thread is for! The first of those is only half an hour so it would be a good one to tack onto the end or beginning of a stream. I've so far only added movies and OVAs as choices, but feel free to think outside the box. I've always been a big fan of the British TV comedies Brass Eye and Jam, both of which are extremely hilarious. Could be good to host them sometime!
