what mean of transportation are you using guys I'm using this cheap bicycle i got for like 100 or 150€ new, upgraded with cargo rack on the rear, strong headlight (rechargeable with usb), JBL speaker (got it for free for Christmas), phone/PDA/GPS holder

bit of a janky bike, never really used the gear shifter cause i never managed to tune it properly, never use anything other than speed 6 anyway, going uphill I feel I'm getting more tired pedalling more at low gear rather than just pushing stronger at gear 6 and when the hill is too steep I just walk, have to change the inner tubes maybe a few times per year, i think i might need to change the brake pads soon (never managed to tune those properly either, my bike is always braking slightly but it was either that or no braking power at all), my pedals are becoming wobbly and tightening the screw doesn't help, front basket is wobbly

perfect bike for me basically, janky, all the options I actually want on a bike all the cargo space I need, the shape of the bike make it very comfortable, easy to get on, easy to steer

Probably put a few thousand miles on this sucker and it's currently held together with duct tape. The back tire is completely out of alignment. When i went to true it i found that the problem spoke was unattached and the two adjacent nipples were rusted on and not adjustable. I managed to get it into a decent spot by crushing one of the nipples with vice grips so the tire no longer hits the frame, but i cant use the back break because it still wobbles to much. it also, of course, does not shift and has a whole bunch of other problems. At least the bright blue helps me avoid cars in my shithole car sewer burgerland city and I don't have to worry too much about it getting stolen. Still better than wasting money and mental energy on driving. If you live < 3/4 miles away from your work/school and have a route that is somewhat pleasant and wont get you killed i highly recommend biking.

yesterday I bought this very fancy 9€ pump for my tires

much more comfortable than the portable pump I was using I can inflate my tires very fast now

Got a new bike a few days back after my old bike exploded and its super nice. The old bike got the point where the entire drive train needed to be replaced which would've cost more than the frame is worth (excluding the many hours it would likely take me). The drop handle bars took a lot of getting used to and the saddle almost violated me the first time i got on but i go 2x faster for half to effort. Will raise the handlebar post a few inches this weekend and then it will be perfect.

PS: always get used bikes. This one is from the 90's and the only work it needed was a new tire (which i stole off my old bike) and gear tune ups. I got it for free from my brothers friend.
