anyways now that the op's been created i can sperg about the new translation that released just today for Daiakuji. i'll give a run down for those out of the loop History
Alicesoft is one of the most well-known companies known for their erotic games, at this time they were pretty well known for their releases of acclaimed games like Toushin Toshi 2 and Kichikuou Rance. However, after many failed attempts (three, that's why the next rance game is called 5D), Alicesoft was swiftly going into bankruptcy after all of the resources and time they spent creating Rance 5. Still coming off of their successful grand strategy gae, they decided to forget Rance and attempt an entirely new series, which would have ether been a kaiju game or a yakuza game. The latter was unanimously decided upon, and thus, Big Bad Guy (Daiakuji, sorry i don't have my nippon keys available right now) was started, and released to acclaim after some good marketing. And so, Alicesoft were able to carry on... yet, the EOPs (like me) haven't had a chance to properly play this game until now, as a game in a similar vein to one of the best Rance games...

Summary
After coming back from his fight in WWII, Yamamoto Akuji, heir to a powerful yakuza family, comes back to his home in Osaka to find out that his grandfather had passed during his time away, and has been overtaken by misandrist feminists, particularly his grandfather's mistress, from the female-dominated Wime region. After being brutalized by his former subordinates, and finding himself among a patrol squad, Akuji forcibly takes the group over after assaulting his captors and having the leader submit to him. From here, the territory conquesting, region managing gameplay starts, with about a hundred units to have fight for you, to break into submission, to and the highlight of this game, to pimp out. You are a bad guy after all..

i've only played the game briefly before this, and its sequel, and it's rather different from the rance grand strategy games, as it focuses a lot more on the management side than the unit sides ala sengoku and kikichuou rance, as battles are on a lower scale. honestly i'm just in a need for more grand strategies with sex, and this game fits in more with the tone of KR which is still the best rance game overall, though it's a bit more relentless in its aggressive and unruliness. ton of character variety too, akuji doesn't seem to have any relent; lolis, married women, glasses girls he even fucks a trap at one point

only found out today while looking that ninetail announced the next INTERNATIONAL release for venusblood, somehow skipping over BRAVE. i already like the new sexy white-haired, brown loli for this one.

i'll catch you up a little bit, VENUSBLOOD is an eroge series primarily focused on corruption, tentacles and turn-based gameplay, usually of the grand strategy variety or something more unique such as tower defenses or straight rpgs. i got into it when i couldn't get off my high from playing sengoku rance, but venusblood is a lot more complicated to get into over alicesoft strategy games (the UI design doesn't help), focusing more of collective stats of a team instead of the individualistic focus of alicesoft games (can solo fights with one unit in them).
to be unique, each game have their own themes, such a goddesses, this entry is based around demons, dragon(girl)s who are the ruling class in this world, and egg laying (to create war fodder for the strategy part), it's actually the last egg-laying VB game thus far. other appealing things are the fetish variety (may be good or bad, for example there's a futa motif for at least one character in each game) and the amount of lolis present due to the influence of the main artist.
INTERNATIONAL versions are released a few years later starting from FRONTIER, the first solidified venusblood game. from fan suggested scenarios from kickstarter they usually add a bunch more unique cgs (usually with specific fetishes, some include gyaru, lolification(!), impregnation, etc)
i'm interested, but i'll probably never get to play it properly due to the system requirements.

if you want to play them, i recommend starting by playing frontier as well, or hollow if you want the best it has to offer right away. the former mainly because this series likes to add on a bunch of features in later games that may end up being bloat or too much to remember, like stuff like disgaea. latter is the most renounced amongst VB fans, it has a great cast of characters and design and probably the best gameplay system.
